Friday Jan 05, 2018
Friday Jan 05, 2018
As humans, many of us have the urge to live for something more. As Christians, we believe that God directs us to fulfill a purpose within God's Kingdom. Tom Madden, the Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in North Georgia, calls the purposes we fulfill our "assignments." He encourages listeners to trust God with the assignment and to focus on hearing God's voice. He describes his part in founding and leading a successful annual youth conference, known as Winterfest, and the role listening to God played in that assignment. MacKenzie Clinton, a Lee University alum, tells how she decided to commit to 12 months in Cambodia teaching English with People for Care and Learning. Tom's and MacKenzie's stories offer sources of encouragement for those seeking to follow God and hear God's voice.

Ep. 33 - Tributaries w/ Dr. Dan Noel
Friday May 05, 2017
Friday May 05, 2017
On this episode, Dr. Dan Noel contrasts the Mississippi River and the Dead Sea to call listeners to both give and receive. Both bodies of water receive from other sources. The Mississippi River flows and pours into other bodies of water, but the Dead Sea does not. Similarly, we, as individuals, need tributaries that pour into us, but to bring life, we must pour into others. Student leaders, Jared Noel and Mannah Berg, ask Dr. Noel questions and weigh in on this conversation.
